The Painted Desert Inn is located with the Petrified Forest National Park at Kachina Point, Arizona. The historic Painted Desert Inn was built in 1937 and operated by
the Fred Harvey Company until 1963. The inn was reopened in 2006 after restoration. However,
the building functions only as a museum and bookstore, without overnight accommodations
or food service.
