The Katella Deli Restaurant in Los Alamitos, California is the quintessential deli road food experience. In addition to a full service restaurant and lunch counter there is also a bakery and deli take-out retail section.

Some items which are prepared especially well include:

  • Cream puffs (exquisite)
  • Apple strudel
  • Cheese blintzes
  • Potato salad
  • Cole slaw
  • Reuben sandwich (exquisite). Per The Dwarf LLC, order with corned beef, thousand island dressing on pumpernickel bread

The Katella Deli Restaurant should not be missed. However, plan ahead and allow plenty of time. The word is out. The parking lot is likely to be crowded. Large birthday and bar mitzvah parties are to be expected.
