Located in the heart of the Inland Empire in Perris, California is the Orange Empire Railway Museum. The Orange Empire Railway Museum is the world's largest train junkyard.

Covering a substantial number of acres, the Orange Empire Railway Museum contains a vast maze of low grade rail. Parked at random locations are rail cars from all eras, including steam and diesel. Power and rolling stock are both present. The Orange Empire Railway Museum is a working facility. Most of the power and rolling stocking have yet to restored. The fully restored railcars are exquisite.

There are several very large workshops where restoration work takes place, mostly by volunteers. With ample land, there are variety of spare parts scattered everywhere, enhancing the junkyard impression.
